HYPOTHALAMUS = Your hypothalamus is a cluster of nuclei, that controls many body functions, including feeding, drinking, and the release of many hormones. It consists of one structure in your limbic system directly connected to the inside structures of both temporal lobes. It is divided into two separate parts with many essential functions, such as regulating aspects of your consciousness, including mood, motivation, hunger, and sleep.
