Note: Patricia Daniels is the author of the well-organized book with a foreword by Todd B. Kashdan, called MIND: A Scientific Guide to Who You Are, How You Got That Way, and How to Make the Most of It. The book was published by National Geographic in 2015 with 302 pages. The large format of the book is suitable for storytimes at home or in classrooms.

The book's content and format are excellent for family discussions about the brain. Both adults and children can benefit from the dramatic pictures and explanations of brain parts and mind functions, especially with the guidance of their parents or teachers. Adults can easily translate the more complex ideas with the help of the Alphabetical Brain™ Vocabulary website.

This book should be read and discussed throughout the Humanist Galaxy of freethinking secular humanists.
